1. Overview
Plants Keeper (식집사, the "Service") is operated by Wajangchang Studio, part of Ricecookey (the "Operator"). This policy explains how the Service collects, uses, stores, and deletes users' personal information. The Service can be used without signing in; information linked to an account is collected only when signed in.

3. Information Not Collected
The Service does not collect precise or approximate location, contacts/address book, payment or financial information, health/fitness data, or messages/call logs.
4. Third-Party Processing and International Transfer
The Service entrusts the processors below with the minimum information necessary to achieve each purpose; some data is stored and processed outside Korea (e.g., the United States). Processors act only on the Operator's instructions.
- OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) — uses plant photos, questions, and notes to generate diagnosis results, follow-up answers, and diary illustrations. Not used to train models.
- Supabase, Inc. (United States) — database, storage, and authentication. User accounts, content, and photos are stored on servers outside Korea.
- Google LLC — Firebase Authentication (sign-in), AdMob/AdSense (advertising). Advertising identifiers are used for ad serving and frequency capping.
- Apple Inc. — when the user chooses Sign in with Apple.
5. Advertising and Tracking
Google AdSense ads appear on the web, and Google AdMob ads appear in the app. Rewarded ads in the app are watched at the user's own choice; the app remains usable at the default usage limit without watching ads. The Service does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites. Ads are therefore served on a non-personalized (NPA) basis.
6. Retention Period and Deletion
- When not signed in, diagnosis and record data are stored on the device (browser), not on a server. Diagnosis/chat history is cleared after about 7 days; registered plants, care logs, diary entries, and the sighting collection remain on the device until the user deletes them.
- While not signed in, photos attached to records (diary, plant photos, sighting collection, diary illustrations) are kept for up to 1 year so they remain viewable alongside the device's records, then deleted. Temporary photos not attached to any record are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
- Users can delete on-device records at any time via [Settings → Clear records on this device] in the app.
- IP-based rate-limit keys used for abuse prevention are deleted within 24 hours.
- Signed-in users' account information and content are retained until account deletion, at which point they are deleted without delay upon request.
7. User Rights — Account and Data Deletion
Users may request to access, correct, or delete their personal information. In the app, go to [Settings → Account → Delete Account] to delete directly; this permanently removes registered plants, care logs, diagnosis/chat history, diary entries and illustrations, uploaded photos, and community (greenhouse) posts, and deletes the account itself (irreversible). Users who are not signed in can use [Clear records on this device] in the same screen to remove records stored on the device.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 14 and older and is not directed at children. If an account is found to belong to a user under 14, its information is deleted upon discovery.
9. Security Measures
Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS, and photos are stored at paths that are difficult to guess. However, anyone who obtains a photo's URL can access it, so please avoid capturing sensitive information (faces, addresses, etc.) alongside plant photos.
10. Changes to This Policy
Changes to this policy will be announced on this page; material changes will be notified before they take effect.
